The Sunday Fours League
The Sunday League has been created to provide club members with an option of a Competitive/Fun "Fours" League.
This League is primarily Social but will be playing for a Club Fours Sunday League Champions title so has a competitive nature as well.
Teams of four persons can join the League and play together for the Season. Individuals or Pairs of individuals can join the League and become part of a Team of Four with like minded individuals for the Season.
Club members can also register with the Convenor as spares for the League if they would like to play occasionally but cannot commit to the thirteen week schedule.
Teams will be provided with a list of Spares in the event they need someone to fill in for them on specific dates.
The season runs for thirteen weeks commencing on Sunday, June 7th, 2026. The start time of the games will be 3PM on the above Sundays and hopefully completed within two hours.
The League will operate using standard Bowls Rules.
Games will be eight ends in duration with Wins (10 points)/Losses (2 points)/Ties (5 points) recorded and emailed to competing club members weekly. Points For and Points Against will also be tracked in case they are necessary to break a season end tie on points.
As this is a new League, it is open for as many as sixteen teams in it's inaugural year. With time, this League could expand to as many as fifty-four teams.
On a purely social note, the bar at the Club will be open 30 minutes prior to game start and 30 minutes after game finish, for members looking for an alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage.
